To start with, let’s go to the best known street in Madrid, the Gran Vía, and we will stop at Callao, so that the emblematic Carrión Building and its  Schweppes advert, can appear in the background of the photo and, with a bit of luck, we will also get the spectacular Callao Cine in the picture.

Do you want a great selfie from the air?  Let’s head for the Madrid Cable Car  and go up it to fly over the greenest part of the city,  making out the old quarter in the distance. The views are spectacular and at the same time, we will discover the lungs of the city, namely Casa de Campo.

Now it's time to head to the Embarcadero in El Retiro Park and take some beautiful snapshots. There you can hire a little rowing boat to take out on the lake beside the spectacular Monument to Alfonso XII.

Alongside the Line 10 platforms, Chamartín station hosts an exhibition with the first trains that ran on the Metro a century ago.  There, the first Metro carriage which King Alfonso XIII boarded to open Line 1 will be on display, as well as curiosities, like a telephone that was used in the 1960s to communicate with the nearest station.

Are you a die-hard football and Real Madrid fan? Fancy taking pictures of the team's thirteen European Cups? We suggest heading down to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and immortalising these trophies.

If you are interested in flamenco, El Corral de la Morería is the ultimate temple to this art form, where some of the biggest names in flamenco have performed. It opens every day of the year, and you can always take a photo with the artists performing that evening, with the flamenco tablao as the backdrop. Other great flamenco venues include Torres Bermejas, decorated to look like the Alhambra in Granada, Cardamomo, right by the Puerta del Sol, and Las Tablas, the largest flamenco venue in Madrid.

You cannot come to Madrid and not eat its traditional squid sandwich... The best place to savour one?  The most famous square in our city: Plaza Mayor.

Do you want to take a photo with a peacock in the centre of Madrid? Visit the gardens of Campo del Moro, adjacent to the Royal Palace, and meet these spectacular animals. There are also pheasants, turtledoves, parrots and ducks on the park’s 20 hectares.

We suggest taking some truly artistic pictures in the gardens of the Sorolla Museum. A beautiful Andalusian garden, dotted with sculptures, fountains and columns, inspired by the Reales Alcázares in Seville and the Generalife in Granada. It is always surprising to discover this leafy garden in the heart of the city’s financial district.

To finish, head to the Plaza de Santa Ana, where you will find the statue that Julio López Hernández dedicated to author Federico Garcia Lorca. Located next to the Teatro Español, it was created to mark the 50th anniversary of the premiere of Yerma. We suggest getting a shot next to one of the great Spanish poets of the 20th century.
