    La casa do Brasil is attached to Universidad Complutense and its purpose is to spread other cultures’ language, culture and civilization. The construction of this residence hall started in 1960, after having signed the Cultural Agreement between Brazil and Spain, yet in force. This is also the year when the capital of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, was changed to Brasilia. The Hall is located in a quiet university area near Moncloa and the Parque del Oeste.

    Admissions are reserved for university students, postgraduates (enrolled at University) and candidates for competitive examinations. Married residents are admitted as long as at least one of the partners fulfils one of the previous requirements, yet their children won’t be accepted. There are single rooms with bathroom, hot water and all the furniture needed for rest and study: bed, desk, chair, built-in wardrobe, air conditioning and private telephone.

    Cleaning service from Monday to Friday (except holidays). Washing and ironing of a limited quantity of personal clothes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included everyday except Sundays. Common facilities: library, TV room, music room, reading room, gym…
