    Information

Hotel Orfila is one of those places where you feel as if you have been transported to another time the minute you walk through the door. From the outside you can already imagine the interior, as it occupies a 19th century mansion on the street after which it is named, in one of the city’s most charming areas, the Chamberí district.

Once inside, the decor and the style confirm your initial impression. Original features such as the staircase and the hallway, wall coverings and antique furniture make for a predominantly classical atmosphere. Every room in the hotel is unique, each with an original design and decor, but they all have something in common: they take you right back to the 19th century, but with all the comforts of a modern hotel.

The style in the rest of the hotel is also palatial. The tea room, the conference room, its English-style bar and the restaurant, El Jardín de Orfila, complete this luxury experience of a bygone era. Maybe this is why Hotel Orfila is the only hotel in Madrid to be managed by the approximately 400 hotels in the Relais & Châteaux chain, which includes some of the most prestigious small hotels in the world.
