Churreria 1883
    Information

The district of Malasaña is home to Madrid's oldest 'churrería', where you can enjoy a traditional cup of hot chocolate with 'churros' (deep-fried dough) as you watch how they are made through the open kitchen.

Churreria 1883 is an inviting place, combining old and new through details such as its false skylight, iron lamps, and a large window onto its kitchen and its chocolate-making machine. As you pull a stool up to one of the high tables, you can enjoy a breakfast or afternoon snack/tea, including bread served with tomato and oil, or with ham, croissants, sandwiches, toast with butter and jam or Nutella, pain au chocolat or waffles, among a number of delicious options.
