Welcome to Madrid

Marlborough was founded in London in 1946 by Frank Lloyd and Harry Fisher. David Somerset, the present Duke of Beaufort and third member of the firm, joined Marlborough in 1948. It has galleries in the major European and North American cities and is deemed to be one of the best galleries in the world. It came to Madrid in 1992 with an exhibition of the work of Francis Bacon.

The Marlborough Gallery continuously collaborates with Marlborough New York and London to present the work of international and up-and-coming artists in Spain.   In addition to standing out in the primary market, the Marlborough Gallery is committed to the acquisition and sale of 20th century masterpieces.  It continues to work with the most important collections of museums and public spaces in Spain by organising individual and group projects and exhibitions of its artists.

The Gallery represents the work of more than 20 artists and artworks that have formed part of its identity since its beginnings. They include the legendary artist, Antonio López-García, the painters Juan Genovés and Luis Gordillo, as well as the sculptors, David Rodríguez Caballero and Francisco Leiro
