Welcome to Madrid

Madrid will once more become a celebration of the senses with this gastronomic-cultural festival, which celebrates its fourteenth anniversary in 2023 (Dates to be confirmed). Year after year, Gastrofestival enables unique gastronomic and cultural experiences related to literature, art, design, charity or fashion to be enjoyed. In 2022, the festival was held in May again (originally it was held in January) and included the participation of numerous establishments and institutions from Madrid.  Gourmet cuisine experiences and a tribute to San Isidro were the new features.

Madrid, which will host the Best Chef Awards for the first time this year, was once more the venue for the major gastronomic event in 2022. The capital hosted Gastrofestival from 16 to 29 May, the event organised by the Department for Tourism and Madrid Fusión, filling the Madrid agenda with culinary experiences and unique cultural activities. 

In 2023, Gastrofestival Madrid will once more delight residents and visitors to Madrid with the proposals of many institutions and companies in the capital, ranging from restaurants and bars to markets, hotels, museums and other leisure spaces, which are an example of the profound tourist and gastronomic revolution that the city is undergoing.

They will all be grouped into their  six regular sections: Gastronomic Madrid, Gastroculture, Sensory Experiences, Eno-culture, Gastrohealth and Gastrofestival with the Family, which boost the hotel and catering sector from a culinary and artistic perspective, by linking it to other disciplines such as painting, film, design, literature or music.
