Welcome to Madrid

Casa Decor opens its doors again from 13 April to 28 May 2023 in Calle Serrano 92, on the corner of Juan Bravo, to reveal the latest tendencies in interior design, architecture, design and art. This is the 58th edition of the event in Madrid, in which it returns to the Salamanca neighbourhood and will be held in the iconic Calle Serrano on the Golden Mile for the first time ever.  

Casa Decor 2023 will be held in the Salamanca neighbourhood where its first edition was launched 30 years ago, but having been held in the neighbourhood on 13 occasions, it is coming to the emblematic Calle Serrano for the first time ever.  It has been chosen to host a luxury edition in one of the city’s most iconic streets, Madrid’s Golden Mile.

For the occasion, a splendid residential building located in Calle Serrano 92, built around 1929, has been chosen. It is an example of the constructions that still remain loyal to the original layout of the properties in the area.  It boasts 400 square metres spread out over the basement and three floors, with 21 balconies overlooking Calle Serrano, with glazed lookouts on the sides.  As it has two façades, one facing the street and the other facing onto an interior courtyard, all spaces have plenty of natural light.

The Neo-classic style façade is inspired by the buildings in the Parisian neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, with a symmetrical and harmonious distribution based on classical cornices, cantilevers and gables. Another interesting feature of the building’s structure is the floor layout, with a carriage way that leads to the first large courtyard, leading on to the block's central courtyard, spanning 148 m2.

In this edition, 50 spaces will be refurbished by the leading professionals and experts from the sector. Numerous decoration projects in the chosen building will be displayed.  Each artist or company rents and fits out one of the rooms, turning the space into a showcase for their work. Decorators, interior designers, architects, designers, landscapers and plastic artists have the opportunity to show off their work in an exclusive context of state of the art and high-end decoration.

Casa Decor is a communication platform that brings together the three main vertices of the decoration sector: designers, commercial brands and the general public. This event was first held in 1992 with the participation of a group of 43 decorators who were responsible for refurbishing a former convent in Madrid. In its 58 editions, 265,000 square metres have been refurbished to house 2,491 interior decoration projects by more than 3,100 professionals in collaboration with 4,300 companies.

More than 2,340,000 visitors have been able to enjoy this unique and sensory experience, validating Casa Decor as a marketing and communication platform and a creative laboratory for materials, design and innovation.
