La Barraca

    Information

Opened in 1935, its name evokes its Valencian essence which is also perceived in its decoration, typical of a house in the Levante region. Clients come here looking to try any of the twelve ways in which they prepare rice.

Located very close to Gran Vía and surrounded by the Chueca neighbourhood and historical buildings, it is very popular amongst tourist, particularly Japanese, who are eager to try the authentic Valencian paella. Another highly recommended specialty is fideuá. José Luis Rojo is in charge of the team of qualified professionals who prepare classic dishes respecting tradition while accommodating them to modern gastronomic requirements. With its pleasing atmosphere complemented by an attentive and efficient staff, La Barraca is a good exponent of the art of good eating.
