    Information

Following remodelling works lasting over five years, Barceló Market has resumed its position as one of the top gastronomy markets in the Chueca neighbourhood. The site of the new building, designed by the Nieto Sobejano architecture firm, previously housed what was regarded as Spain's first supermarket. A farmers’ market for the 21st century, it boasts one hundred stalls, a library and a sports complex, and will soon feature tasting areas.

It includes traditional food stalls and other services, several restaurant, a space for children and the roof features a restaurant-terrace where you can enjoy healthy food and a garden in the heart of Madrid, the Azotea Forus Barceló. The top floors of the marked include the Barceló Municipal Sports Center, a 4,00 m2 full gym dedicated to sports.

It is possible to shop on-line via the website www.mercado47.com, and orders can be placed over the phone and some stalls offer a home delivery service.
