Piquer Galleries

Galerías Piquer
    Information

Galerías Piquer, in the heart of the Rastro, is a favourite spot for antique collectors. Named after the Valencian singer Concha Piquer, it offers antiques ranging from traditional Castilian furniture to the most sophisticated art nouveau and oriental pieces.

Opened in 1950, initially called Galerías Isla de Cuba, it was designed by architect José de Azpiroz y Azpiroz. It was such a huge success with members of the public that, shortly after its opening, other similar shops were opened, also specialising in antiques and collectables, such as Nuevas Galerías and Galerías Ribera.
