Located in the Manzanares Linear Park and designed by the French architect Dominique Perrault, this multidisciplinary space hosts sporting, cultural, leisure and corporate events on a large and small scale. It has three stadiums with highly technical retractable roofs, which can be used at any time of year and whatever the weather. It has two indoor spaces, Caja Mágica itself and the Indoor Tennis centre, as well as indoor and outdoor tennis and paddle tennis courts.

The total area of the main building is 83,500 m2. The three stadiums can be used covered and uncovered:

• -Stadium 1: 12,442 people. Total capacity in stands and retractable stands

• -Stadium 2: 2923 people. Capacity in stands

• -Stadium 3: 1712 people. Capacity in stands

There is also an 1800 m2 Restaurant Area with a maximum capacity of 1500 people.

The capacity in all these spaces varies according to the way in which they are set up.

Built out of concrete and steel, Caja Mágica is one of Madrid’s architectural landmarks and stands out for its versatile and functional design.

It has hosted the Madrid Tennis Open since 2009, and over the course of these years it has also hosted other sporting events (Davis Cup, Handball World Championships, European Volleyball League, ACB League and international basketball games, CrossFit Meridian Regionals, World Padel Tour, World Judo, and Superenduro Championships), business events, musical events, and shows (MTV Awards, Mad Cool, Download, and Vetusta Morla concerts) and film shoots for adverts, film and TV.
