    Information

Located in Madrid's Puerta de Alcalá, Espacio SOLO is a private museum that houses the SOLO contemporary art collection. A patronage and support project designed to boost the international contemporary art scene.

The collection contains several pieces by international artists and sets out to underscore the rich connections between the different creative, cultural, and aesthetic currents across the whole planet. With well-known names such as Keiichi Tanaami, Peter Saul, Miriam Cahn, and Neo Rauch, among others, SOLO focuses particularly on supporting emerging artists.

With proposals ranging from figurative art to contemporary sculpture, pop surrealism, and new media, such as artificial intelligence, SOLO contains pieces from more than 270 artists. Their work can be viewed on rotation through the temporary exhibitions organised by Espacio SOLO, which offers free guided tours in Spanish and English.

The Espacio SOLO museum, designed by architect Juan Herreros, winner of the 2018 COAM Prize, was conceived from the outset in parallel to the development of the collection, as a dynamic and versatile space. The circular labyrinth structure invites you to lose yourself and gradually discover the rooms and works that relate to space, inviting you to enjoy the narrative presented by the collection, which whisks us away to places we have never been.
