    Information

Located on the right bank of the Manzanares River, close to the Puente del Rey bridge, the Huerta de la Partida Gardens date back to the 16th century, when the Vargas family, one of the most influential in the city, built their country house there.

This is the site of the gardens that provided the house - which would later pass to the crown - with fruit and vegetables. Today its paths are still lined with fruit trees, including hazelnut, almond, and olive trees. The viewpoint on the highest part of the Huerta offers vistas of Madrid Río Park, the Royal Palace, La Almudena Cathedral and, to the left, the towering buildings of Plaza de España.
