    Information

The origins of this unique theatre space date back to 2009, when several artists got together to create a theatre project in Calle Ballesta, in what was once a brothel. 13 autonomous and independent groups created 10-15 minute micro plays on the same theme for an audience of less than 10 people, which were performed several times a day. This format continues today. The spectator can choose how long to spend at the theatre and how much to pay depending on the plays he/she wants to see. After becoming a big hit with the audience, the centre moved to its current location, in the heart of Malasaña, in 2010.

Microtheatre is also a multi-functional space in the centre of Madrid, where you can also attend children’s microtheatre, concerts, showings of unreleased films, art, experiments, rental of space for all types of events,... all of this in a premises that was once a brothel and that is now a centre for culture and leisure.

It also has a bar, serving home-made food, long drinks and cocktails.
