    Information

To celebrate the declaration of the Landscape of Light as UNESCO World Heritage, Madrid’s first edition of LuzMadrid. Madrid’s International Festival of Light was held from 29 to 31 October. In 2023, from 27 to 29 October, Madrid will once more be flooded in art and light with the most innovative artistic expressions that will talk to the public space through light.

In this second edition, LuzMadrid will visit new locations with surprising proposals and movement and vibration as the backbone. Both concepts, movement and vibration, link the artist to the spectator, bringing us closer to what people may feel these nights, whilst moving and travelling around the different areas set up by this initiative, to get excited by what they see.

The festival, whose first edition was awarded the A Greener Festival international prize for sustainability  - accreditation that supports environmental good practices at festivals and which European festivals compete for each year - is once more committed to the environment, optimising energy consumption, among other elements, to fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals.

LuzMadrid, a street event for all walks of life, will bring together interdisciplinary artists of different nationalities. Since last year, Madrid has formed part of LUCI, the network of cities that organises similar international light festivals, will once more fill the streets with art so that residents and tourists can enjoy a unique opportunity.

The International Festival of Light, will once more be an excuse to meet and celebrate to rediscover the city from a different perspective and share life on the streets of Madrid.
