Religious Ceremonies for San Isidro Festivities

    During the San Isidro Festivities, several religious events take place in Pradera de San Isidro, Colegiata de San Isidro and Capilla de la Cuadra de San Isidro.

    As a part of the program, the blessing of the water of the fountain and ceremony dedicated to the saint will be held. The Romería church service takes place on the 15th.

    From the 10th to the 14th of May, one of the most important events takes place: the Quinario (5 day period) honoring San Isidore. 

    The program follows on the 14th of May with giving out the medals to the new congregants and on the last day of the festivities, on the 15th of May, is the Solemn Concelebrated Mass dedicated to San Isidore the Laborer. In the afternoon it's time for the Procession with the carved images of San Isidore and Santa María de la Cabeza accompanied by the La Lira de Pozuela orchestra and the Madrid Municipal Police Orchestra.

    On the 15th of May there is a Eucharist Celebration at the Capilla de la Cuadra de San Isidro.
